Aim To separate the colours from the skittles by using chromatography.

chromatography us technique fir the separation of a mixture  by passing it in solution or suspension thorough a medium in which the components move at different rates.

Materials

1.6 skittles

2.water

3. Petri dish

4.Beaker

Process

Get a beaker 

step 1. get you equip mwn set up ready to pour the 50ml of water into the petri dish with skittles

step 2. Place the skittles.

step 3. pour 50ml of water gently into the middle of the petri dish around the dish

step 4. Record your results on the table below.

3d sea animals

  Kia ora, Welcome back to another blog post. Last week we had to do a task,Were we had to make 3D things.                                                                                                                                                            My group and I chose what we made ...we chose sea animals. Then our teacher printed the sheets.Then you have to cut it out. Then you have to glue it together.                                                                                     The options were squid, turtle, shark. But the shark got thrown out and we lost the turtle.

Osmosis-Gummy bear

 Osmosis: The movement of solvent through the wall of a solid.

Aim: 

I want find out what happens ti Gummy Bear when we put them into different liquids.

Prediction:

I think that the gummy bears with shrink or grown in the liquids

Method:

Equipment

.Three solutions -water sugar and salt

. Four gummy bears of the same colour

.Two Petri dishes

.Marker pen

. Electronic Balance

.Measuring cylinder 

.Beaker

Steps

.Get your equipment 

. Label petri dishes with dry,Water, Salt water,Sugar water

.Weigh gummy bears and  record their weigbht on the petri dish.

.Add 40mL of the solution into the petri dish

 Instructions

1. Collect your equipment

2. put some water in the tray

3. squirt some detergent  in the water

4. Put on your safety glasses

5. tie up long hair

6. Take off any jewellery 

7. wet your hands, wrists and arms

8. bubble the gas into water

9. scoop the bubbles not the water

10. Hold the bubbles in front of your face with your arms locked

11. then light on fire

Floods

 Today I will be talking about floods that have been happening in New Zealand (29-31 May, 2021). 

The floods have caused the bridges to break .The Rain has been extreme for the past few days.The flood have made the river overload and flood the roads and many people min heavily flooded areas have to leave their properties. Farmers have had fences buried in big slips and some animals were drowned. Luckily my house wasn't too damaged, but it did have some leaks kin the roof. Did you suffer any damage?

Pink shirt day

 Kia ora,yesterday my class and I made a paper t-shirt for pink shirt day,This activity was quite easy to be honest but quite fun at the same time.I would like to  share my t-shirt back and the front.But I lost my t-shirt sorry but I am going to describe it ,so it has my name on it. The colour of it was orange red purple and pink.and I did some little designs on it.

Pink shirt day was to emphasis bullying and the effect it has on victims. Outstanders help victims and can even prevent them from sujfering long term harm. Have you ever been bullied?
