What are 4 reasons hoe waka were important to Māori life? because they are used to turn the boat and to move the boat. The padiles are used for art carving and to tell people about their pepeha.
Where did the designs on hoe waka come from? What is the name for the designs on them? The designs of hoe waka represent your pepeha. The designs on the hoe waka is called kowhaiwhai.
